  1. Since my system will be using grid combat, the long descriptions might not be a good idea. I already changed how all rolls worked to make it faster to calculate. Next thing is how armor pieces will work, percentage? Whole numbers?
In solo games, I think the long desciptions works pretty good, makes it more like a cinematic experience.
The "use the enverionement to attack" is a thing I tell all the time to new players. Drop a pillar on the monster, cut the rope bridge, etc.
About the use of skills on combat, that is one idea I am thinking about, like, the character has a specific combat style that use dance moves, so naturally his dance skills would also add to the attack and defense rolls.
I am all for descriptions but saddly, it might slow down the game.
    Thanks for the responses.
